My memory

I must admit that I do not have the best of memories. I am great at remembering things that are going to happen, such as appointments and to do lists, etc... I am very organized. But my memory fades quickly with events that have already happened. This is why the digital camera in my opinion is one of the greatest inventions thus far. When I became a mother, I also became a photoholic. I take pictures of my children daily and date the photo when downloading it onto my computer. This I would not be able to do as often and as accurately with a camera that requires film.

I also am very good at keeping up my childrens' baby books. I write down the dates of the "firsts" such a teeth, rolling, crawling, etc.. However they do not leave me enough space to write down all the "little" funny stories or sayings that they provide daily for me. I am terrified of forgetting these little joys that make waking up every morning at the ungodly hour of 5:30-6:00 so damn enjoyable. This is what I am going to attempt using this blog for. I have tried traditional journal writing but I find that weeks/months go by and I haven't written a thing. I seem to spend most of my "freetime" at the computer so maybe this is the answer to my memory problems. Anyways, the blurbs I write may be in no particular order and may be something that I just happen to remember at the time.

For example, when Emma Magoo the Pixie Pooh , aka, Goosey or Goo was about 2 years old, she was watching the movie Stuart Little. As she was watching, she proclaimed, "Mama, there's the fuckin bird!" My mouth dropped and I was in shock. Luckily it only took a moment of clarity to realize that she was trying to show me the "Falcon bird" that was chasing Stuart.

Also, Goo referred to all television shows as movies. She would say, "I watcha movie" if she wanted one of her videos or cartoons on and if her daddy was watching the news, she would say, "Daddy's watching a movie news."

Well, you now have a taste of what you are in for when reading this site. Random memories, stories, phrases and so on that I do not ever want to forget.

There ya go! You've got the idea now, write to your hearts content. I LOVE to read it. As most of my free time is spent on the computer as well.
